TEMPEST INLAND: RIDE ME TO SAND
Lullaby, tread no more! Upon me ride, swim up swell From Posidon's clapped hands To crest and surf me To sand. A call answered from beyond breakers Under a red sky morning From the incoming tempest. The tide is in though accusers swim caught In rip dumbfound, alarmed and chagrin Fear compound passes therethrough Choked pleadings will not effect Rescue. Held in fury atop watery nimbus percussion pound Along a wave blue, a maw white to crackling guitar Licks sliding on Apocalypse Now with passes over Urchins, tenticles, and coral black reef of scatter Inbound. Lean back, rest, close now your eyes Dip, swirl your fingers in this tidal comfort The absence of Harpoons as the curl comes In. Behind those sun warmed shallows The new awaits, from swell to Wave abate and your gentle touch Down. Steady, stand, diminishes the squall Return to the expanse until next the Call. When back to taste you hurry To on trust suspend Behind Trident's wake To land.
