Singularly Massed Nonconformity
Helpless Hazel Hills Hide Huddled; Hugging Hopeless Hallucinations. Arrogant Aphids: Amassed Asphyxiation, Alluring Alone. Impish Iguana Imbuing Indigent Itch; Insane In Igloo. Kiwi Knowledge Knots: Knitting Kite Kinesthesia, Kindred's Known Keeper. Unanimity Utopia Umbrellas; Uncloaked Unary. This is a Meraiku poem which a friend named after my WDC user name ("Invalid Item" The Meraiku takes two different poetry forms the acrostic and the haiku and combines them together in a fun and challenging way. An acrostic poem is when the first letters of the lines spell out a word or phrase. The haiku is three lines, with a 5-7-5 syllable count. The Meraiku takes the combination further instead of making the first word in each line start with a certain letter the Meraiku makes ALL the words in the stanza begin with a particular letter. When the letters of the stanzas are put together they representing a particular word or phrase (in this example the spelled out word is haiku) which completes the form requirements of the Meraiku. You do not need a nature theme as in the standard haiku (I used a nature theme simple because I spelled haiku). The word or phrase that the stanza spells out can be the subject and or title but it's not a requirement.
