What does being a Christian mean to me?

Note: I was asked this question on another website. Here is my answer:

What does being a Christian mean to me?

I am not sure if this question is asking for my definition of what it means to be a Christian or if it is asking what significance being a Christian has in my life. I guess I will answer both.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. I believe that He gave His life on the cross as a propitiation for my(our) sins. I want Him to be the Lord of my life.

My relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ is the MOST IMPORTANT thing in my life. As the deer panteth for the water so my soul longeth after Him! I want continuous, conscious awareness of His Presence in my life. I have hidden His Word in my heart that I might not sin against Him and I will continue to do so.

I love God. At times as I say that, I am certain that I have felt like Peter probably did when Jesus asked, "Do you love me?" but I am so thankful that I KNOW He loves me.

In my life, it has made all the difference. I choose the narrow road!
