For the "TLC -- Try your Luck Contest!!
Use the following words: horse, kisses, broken, fool, laughter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
in the beginning,
you were a dream come true.
prince charming. white horse. happily ever after.
you promised me a fairy tale
but quickly became my worst nightmare.
joyful laughter faded into uncomfortable silences...nervous giggles
tender kisses were replaced by sharp words....tear-stained cheeks
gentle caresses gave way to harsh blows...bruised arms
once is an accident.
twice can be overlooked.
three times is unforgivable.
you promised you never meant to hurt me,
that it would never happen again.
and I wanted to believe you
because you were all I had.
but the warning signs were flashing all around me.
I could leave and save my life,
or stay and salvage our love.
in the end,
you were a fool.
a beautiful woman. heart full of love. bruised but not broken.
I could have been yours forever
but I refuse to become a victim
The princess in this ‘fairy tale’ won’t be me.
