My Angry Mind
A free verse poem of the issues going on in my brain.

A mind is something you
should never try to define.
No one, not event the law
controls how and what you do.
I'll never understand why we all
think that putting aside our
differences will make things
better, it won't.
Everything that happens
and everything that doesn't
will determine our future.
War is necessary to our
development, without it,
civilization will cease to advance.

There is no good
and there is no evil.
Those things are
just points of view.
Morals vary and aren't
solid or all agreed upon.
I wish people could rejoice
in all of Man's differences.
We should never say that it
doesn't matter where or who
we came from, to me,
those things define who we are.
I don't want to see black churches
or white churches, black schools
or white schools. I don't want to see
male schools or female schools.
It's wrong. Don't complain that
you aren't allowed to learn with certain people,
so when you get the right, you shut out the people
who shut you out, ever heard the saying,
"Two wrongs don't make a right."?
Well, it is true that one wrong doesn't make a right.
I've never seen proof of the idea that violence
doesn't solve a thing, neither does being passive or using silence.
Violence solved countless wars, police use it to stop riots.
Passivity is something that I despise most of all.
A very great man once said that the biggest
criminals are the ones who turn their heads
when they see wrong, don't you agree?
How could you disagree, you shouldn't.
But people are entitled to their own opinion.
But, when you're my age, you can't
have an opinion, I'm always told
that I shouldn't complain because
I'm just a "child." Adults demand so
much from the younger generation.
But we're not allowed to demand anything.
When we do, it's called a revolution.
When adults do it, it's called an outcry.
Oh the hypocrisy! Adults need to grow up.
They were so much older then,
they're greatly younger now, that's what
one man said about himself once when he was younger.
I'll never respect someone older than me
who says they got it tough, unless they do,
and that my generation has it easy.
Those people need to go out.
They've lived enough.
And you people who run my world?
You politicians.
DIe.

Politics is so minuscule
to the big scheme.
Why don't you guys buy a mule
and go fish by the stream.

What's up with Obama?
He said he'd reduce spending.
From what I've seen, he hasn't.
From what I've seen, he's lied.
Just like every other politician,
except for a handful.
Politicians use lies for their own gain.
Artists use lies to tell the truth.
See the difference?
I do.
And I hope you do too.
And if you don't, just look a little deeper.

What's the deal with abortion?
I've always heard that murder is a crime.
I guess not when considering doctors
and mothers and unborn babies.
Anyone who has undergone or
performed and abortion
is a murderer, and a criminal,
and should be in prison.
Period.
I don't see why a human being should ever be killed
unless they purposefully killed another.
Abortion is an abomination.

I think gays should be able to marry,
but I don't think it's good to be gay.
I believe some are born and some
become homosexual.
But sexual orientation shouldn't be an issue.

Ever thought of flying?
I have.
Ever thought of dying?
We all have.
Do all people have anything at all in common?
Yeah, sure, we're all conceived, and we all die.
Oh. Not all of us live?
No.
Huh?
Some people think that some people shouldn't have a go at life.
Why?
They're naive and immature.
That's sad.
Sure is.
Do you believe in Superior Authority?
Of course.
Why?
It's a defining human characteristic.
Oh.
Yeah.
What about science.
Of course.
But you have a religion.
So?
Well you can't believe in both.
I do.
How?
Science is ONLY the how. Religion is ONLY the why.
Hm, okay. What if you don't believe in science?
You're not human. Period.
That sounds a bit harsh.
So? You asked.
True.
Yes, absolutely it is.
