Whose Faith has it Right?

Whose Faith gets a say?
Whose Faith gets to choose
Whose Faith goes to heaven and whose stands to lose?
Whose Faith has it right?
Whose Faith has it wrong?
Whose Faith will achieve what they’ve craved all along? 

We’re so overwrought.
We’re so filled with hate.
We’re highly destructive in terms of our fate.
We’re deadly in life.
We’re deadly in war.
We’re boorishly arrogant in our rapport.

We shout out our force.
We shout out our might.
We shout out our truths for a cause we think right.
We shout for our Faith.
We shout we want peace.
We shout our foretelling as conflicts increase.

Unwavering greed;
Unwavering lust.
Unwavering ways deem we take what we must.
Unwavering lies;
Unwavering prayer.
Unwavering minds think themselves most aware…

Still, yet - here we are.
Still, yet - here we be.
Still, yet!  Every day!  We stand naked with Thee.
Still, yet - we dare pray.
Still, yet - we dare ask.
Still, yet!  We pray blindly behind a forged mask.

We pray when we’re sick.
We pray when we’re scared.
We pray for our loved ones who’re sad and impaired.
We pray as we eat.
We pray as we kill.
We pray as we bow down to ‘Heavenly Will’.

Be wise in your wants.
Be wise in your ways.
Be wise in the manner you garner God’s praise.
Be wise in your deeds.
Be wise in your love.
Be wise how you seek what is promised above.
