Anarchy
        by: John R Patterson  (masterofclass@Writing.Com)
Can you hear the shaking
Of a new world on its knees
The angels are among us
At a time we all beg please

Race with me to anarchy
A place we know too well
The journey will be glorious
The ending In a cell

Anarchy is all I have
It’s beautiful this way

I can’t see the darkness
For my eyes have burned away

Laugh with me on dead leaves
The coldest heart I know
We’ll laugh about the times we had
When they told us it would snow

So race with me to anarchy
A place you know so well
The journey has its moments
Come meet demons where they dwell

Anarchy is all I have
It’s tender in its way

I can’t see your tears
For my eyes have burned away

I have been so stupid
But meglomania has its charms
For every clever man there is
Is a man with empty arms

So race with me to anarchy
A place I know to well
The journey will be trechourous
Our decent will be hell

Anarchy is all I have
It’s painful when I show

My heart is paved with darkness
For my love I know will go
