Mountain Moon
Moon, above the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque, NM.

This item requires reviews with ratings.
Crystal clear and dark blue
with scattered
pin-points of light
sprinkled about the sky.

Mountains with shadows
that dance from the lights of
the city far beneath its
crest.

The brilliant shining
moon rises.
Illuminating the sky within
its circular reach.

Slowly moving to shower its beams on
the mountain top.

Like a brilliant white light bulb,
its glow lights the mountains top,
that lie in silent slumber just below.

They appear to the eye as one,
mountain and moon.

I lived in Alb, NM. One night as we drove towards the mountains - The moon looked like someone had turned the mountains into a light socket. The moon looked like the round portion of a light bulb that was lit. It was an amazing sight. I have only words to display the sight that greeted younger eyes.
