A Candle
A poem from the heart, with meaning deeper than words could express.

When no light was near,
you lit a candle
and set it in my path.

The light was enough,
to get me where
I needed to go.

I found a Love that
I did not know existed.

Your love suffered
and died for me,
to light my way
through trials and tribulations.

You loved me when
I could not understand.

Your love turned me
around to see that you were
always there to guide me.

You were the Candle that lit my way,
when darkness seemed to consume me.

You taught me to love where most would hate;
To find good in my fellow man,
even when I thought no good could be found.

You opened my eyes to a life
where peace and love abound.

I know that whatever fate shall fall,
whatever lays in wait,

The simple light you have given,
will keep me from harm and light
the way where I shall go.
