The Cat On The Ledge Sitting on the ledge, The window's only view. Sat a cat with stripes, "Miew, miew, miew!" He watches the world, Through emerald eyes. Catching mosqitoes, eating moths and flies. Zoom zoom go the cars, As kids play and giggle. He rolls on his back-- And does a little wiggle. Tapping on the glass, His tail makes a click. The sound reaches his ears, and they do a little prick. As he relaxes in the sun, A purr erupts from inside. The smile on his face, Is not there but implied.
