SUNRISE LESSON FIVE: ASSIGNMENTS 1 & 2

1. I DON'T KNOW WHY I REMEMBER my saturday outings with my dad, which started when I was old enough to get into his car, and continued amost every weekend that we were in the same place, until his death when I was 29--by then, he was 68 and very sick. My favorite memories were of our nature hikes through Holiday Park in Indianapolis during the 1960's, We would set out from his car, along the leaf-strewn woodland trails (it always seemed to be fall), always stopping to carve our initials into some hard-barked, unsuspecting tree; I always assumed that we were doing them a favor by signing them!

I saw some irresponsible kids careen around the corner. I heard tires squeal and shouts as they jumped the curb. I'm not sure why those kids were driving that car! They are a menace! Dis someone get hurt??



ELDERLY WOMAN:

Those sweet boys who waved at me got into an awful mess when they took that corner too fast and went up on that sidewalk and hit that table. Who told that restaurant that they could put that table there, anyway?? That just causes flies. Those boys smiled at me. Maybe I could have even invited them to church next week. What a pity!


LADY HANDING OUT RELIGIOUS FLIERS

Rude young punks! I saw them before they headed into their car--even tried to give them a tract about Jesus.Iheard a ruckus and turned around in time to see them slam into one of those foolish sidewalk tables. Glass everywhere! I'll bet they didn't know Jesus--wouldn't even know Him if He'd bitten them. Officer, you better be sure you are capitalizing those H's!!!
