Ode To Sunburn
Is the sun red or yolk yellow when touching upon my crumpled face To lie "oh dear" upon the green To feel the heat with no sunscreen To feel the heat with no sunscreen a foolish mistake of a silly fellow And sink so deep into a western dream of delicious food you'd like to eat Like fried bread and fried eggs and fried bacon all fried you see And fried you see is what you smell of sizzling - boiling you awake in hell Oh sunburn coat! oh glowing bright! A Lobster boiled a traffic-light And pain oh pain of a summer sin a red hot slap upon leather skin So nuclear heat will rage tonight with swollen lips and eyelids bright A damned soul you'll sunburn dream Next time you fool just wear sunscreen. spb.
