We began building our home in early spring,
when a blustery snowstorm covered everything. The look on my partner's face was sad and rigid, with the weather in the woods dreary and frigid. The plan for our place was for more than one child; sadly this was hindered when we built in the wild. The snow covered forest increased our labor; in the city we were helped by a nice neighbor. Our food source became scarcer as the days went by, but we huddled and hoped for a break in the sky. Finally the wind ceased and the clouds disappeared; our new home was completed as the snowfall cleared. We lived within the forest 'til the coming fall; I had beautiful twins... adorable and small. We moved back to easier times in the city, where humans fill feeders and think we are pretty.
