Comma Kazi Discussion Lesson Five

Thinking back on your initial expectations for this class, do you feel like you have learned what you wanted to learn?

Thinking back on my original intent for taking the comma class, I believe I have come to realize the fulfillment of that goal.  I was having uncertainty as to where to place commas correctly.  I needed to be sure about this; because I do a lot of reviewing of others stories and must be accurate in my own assessment and judgment.

Why or why not?

I also had a lot of trouble with my own writing. I would have my husband review a piece for me and he would find a lot of incorrect comma placement or places where I left them out.

I believe I have acquired the knowledge I need to apply commas correctly.  I, at least, know enough to read over the rules before I begin a project and keep myself in check when I am writing or reviewing.  I am grateful to you Susanne for taking time out of your busy life to have chat sessions with your class; it has been enlightening to say the least. Thank you.

Would you recommend this class to someone else?

I have already recommended this class and the other two classes I am taking to a couple of my accountancies.  One is definitely going to take this class, and the other thinks she is, already, too busy.  I tried.

Do you think your new comma skills will help you with your future writing?

I think I will be able to hold my own, with future writing, when it comes to comma placement.  I already am confident I know where to correctly place commas, and if I don’t do it right, I believe it won’t be because I don’t know better, but because I am being lazy.

I am still a bit weak when it comes right down to the why of it all.  This may mean I am not as good to go as I think or hope I am.  I do need to better connect why certain rules apply to make the comma a correct placement.  I am glad Susanna that you have keep insisting on these exercises every lesson; it helps me realize I need to keep studying to become perfect in my comma placement.
