You were my hero, MY ROYALTY,
back before we got old,
back when you were
a young woman, back when
I was a young girl. I read a story
about when you were young, in the palaces
with your family. And then, you became
queen, but we were still
best friends,
even though no one knew.
I still see you on T.V., and wonder
if you still think of me, as close as
we were.
So, I was not surprised
to receive, in my mail, a note asking me
to the palace, to play with your toys and
your dogs and your sister! I just hope they
will let me out of this place
long enough to come!
