I see the numbers turn
right before my eyes. Endlessly, they roll, waiting for my demise. The current's swift; it carries all of us through space and time- a journey uncharted, a voyage inescapable, a crew unwilling- shanghaied by chaos, chosen at random, shaped by events and by people not of their choosing. Like a great experiment, time's trying to discover what makes us tick. We're all lab rats condemned to an eternity running the wheel, watching the clock- its numbers counting, marking our progress seeing how long we can last in the great maze of life.
