THIS CROSSROAD!

A sign at THIS crossroad,
Which way shall I go?
To the left, or to the right,
For the first time in my life,
I really do not know.

The path to the left seems
The easiest and well worn.
Clearly that is the way
Many others have gone.

But how goes that old saying,
About a way they say
Seems right to men, but leads
Only to the death of them?
Or something like that.

To the right seems
A weary road,
A lonely road, a way
Clearly few would choose to go.

If I choose to take that path,
It seems I’ll have
To travel it alone, or nearly so.
So then, which way do I go,
In this life?
