A racing heartbeat was nothing to fool around with, especially if it woke you up at 3 A.M. from sound sleep. Nausea, heavy arms, and faintness were additional symptoms.

Seeing Dr. Lim became imperative. She phoned her office right away setting an appointment for next Wednesday.

Arriving early, Beth waited patiently, watching other patients doing similar things. Following Nurse Eva, Room 5 held several answers. EKG normal, blood pressure good, some weight loss might be one option, have lab tests, await results, fill prescription, all instructions given.

Complete precisely as directed, then go home praying no more episodes would occur.
