Two poems about fragile relationships;
Limbo Land
I took a trip to Limbo Land
Where nothing seems quite right.
There was no light in Limbo Land,
But neither was it night.
She loves me, she hates me, I don't understand.
What must I do to leave this terrible Limbo Land?
Limbo Land is a place, some say,
A land between Heaven and Hell.
No one is ill in Limbo Land,
But nobody feels very well.
Limbo Land, Limbo Land, why can't I know my own mind?
She doesn't want me around her, but why can't I leave her behind.
If I can escape from Limbo Land
I will gladly get out of this place.
I will forget all about all the words she said,
And erase my dreams of her face.
The Pigeon
A proud and pretty pigeon,
Stays with me, it seems.
A pigeon makes no promises,
No plans, no hopes, no dreams.
My pigeon feels the freedom
Of air, of wings, of flight.
And no one dares to ask her
Where she slept last night.
And so the soaring pigeon
Comes and goes just as she chooses.
And one day she might not return,
And offer no excuses.
