The Jungle heat was killing us.
We'd been trekking three days, surely in the wrong direction. Our rations were long gone, and Jenny wouldn't shut up complaining. When suddenly we arrived at a lush looking lake. Without hesitation, everybody jumped in. Slowly stripping, I was sure I'd seen a large log move under the water.
