Trapped in a land where everyone believes magic is evil, including her father and brother, Diana must hide the truth of who she is and the powers she holds. Even as her awareness of others’ emotions grows, she avoids people, trusting only her brother.

When their home is attacked, Diana’s magic saves her brother’s life, but dooms her own. Will her brother defy the law and father to help her? Or can she tell the difference between friend and foe among magic hunters? And if so, can they help her when all the magic they know is enchanted relics?
