A tri-fall poem about baseball.

Baseball

The great game of baseball
has some stars
and other players less well-known.
Those who are best of all
buy big cars,
big houses, their wild oats are sown.

The game is loved by all.
We sit in
hot, sweltering bleachers to see
a grown man hit a ball
to nine men
wanting to get out number three.

Some players just pinch hit
as a fan
catches the ball when bat hits wood.
When you think about it
where else can
three hits in ten at bats be good?
