Time Traveled
Acrostic poem on changing old habits

The rhythm of another year has passed,
Inconceivably quick; changing the old order.
Mornings untouched, pass by without notice,
Evenings end with hopes of a new beginning.

The embrace of time is released with each moment, as it's
Rushed along by the flowing sands of an hour glass.
As I celebrate a more enlightened age in progress, I
View each tomorrow as a step out of my dark shadows,
Eventually weaving a new future from my tangled past.
Leaving footprints in cement, a reminder I was there once and
Embracing the few precious moments I was given, I'm
Determined to leave my small imprint on this enormous world.
