Kentucky

Kentucky as a state is rural and small.
With a few big cities among them all.
Down home to some hillbillies to others.
No matter what, we are blood brothers.

United we stand divided we fall is true.
This saying is unique as to what we do.
We love who we are and all we're not.
Our pride and respect amounts to a lot.

Taking us for granted if you want a friend.
Brings trouble and our friendship to an end.
I'll give you help if you are a friend in need.
As long as you show me respect indeed.

Believe what I said for I meant every word.
My words are as true as any you've heard.
We guys who live in the state of Kentucky.
We were born and bred and indeed lucky.
