A government should fear it's people.
At least that is what they say.

But I think that for most of us
it is not this way

They are nipping away at our freedoms
bit by bit , one by one.

Unless we stand up soon
our freedoms will be gone.

Following along blindly
being afraid to speak

Does not make us good citizens
It makes us all weak

We are all headed for a prison
one from which there is no escape.

Soon it will fall on deaf ears
if we get bent out of shape

No meeting of the minds
No peaceable negotiation

Lady Liberty
no longer a symbol of freedom
just an aging icon for tourists on vacation.

Time for a revoloution
Time to light a fire

If we wait too long we will be
like the bird on a wire

calling on our friends
come on over up here it's higher.
