Rubiyat is an arabic format that is a quatrain that has the first, second, and fourth lines rhyme. The rhyme scheme is: a-a-b-a. A single stanza can be a poem in itself or multiple stanzas may be joined to create a larger poem.
Rubiyat Poetry Hope confounds me, it condemns and frustrates, its empty promises lead me to bitterness; to hate yet each time I listen, convinced and gullible I end up regretful, broken and prostrate. In my quiet moments of contemplation I know without it my essence can only plateaux but the ground becomes barren and weak, the more these unrewarding seeds are sown. I can't give up; as much as I feel I must but nor can I believe or surrender my trust to the unknown tomorrow and all that it holds knowing as I do, its penchant for the unjust.
