She who grew

In the concrete jungle of Los Angeles it was the home of millions of people. It was the home of the Rich and Famous.
But this tale isn’t about a celebrity or anyone with a vast fortune. Instead it’s about a relatively normal woman called Maria Declan. She lived in one of the many city suburbs. Maria herself was a very beautiful woman. She had long luscious brown hair and dazzling blue eyes. She was in excellent physical shape although she didn’t look that muscular and she had a perfect figure. Maria loved her body in almost every way. The only thing she had a problem with was her height. The 21 year old was only 4’10. In all her life the only people she had really looked down on were young children. Where ever she went she was always the shortest person there. It was the same in school, her family and now in her workplace.
Maria often would have to shop in the children’s section of clothes stores since most of the adult size clothes didn’t fit her. She didn’t have that much luck with men. Since she was short she was quite was also timid. She had been ridiculed about her height when she was younger. She did socialize with a lot of women. But she didn’t have much luck with the opposite sex.
She worked in a café not too far from her apartment. The pay was moderate but she would get a lot of tips. She would work long hours and she would often see her friends. But deep down she felt a little like she was living in a world of giants.
Maria had tried several different ways to make herself taller. She wanted to have surgery but she couldn’t afford it. She had tried drugs to make herself taller. But since she had already stopped growing they weren’t working. As a last resort her and a couple of friends made their own home-made rack. But that too failed to make her any taller. She began to lose hope.
One day she was working at the café. It was a busy day and she was beginning to get tired. She hadn’t eaten for a while. Her manager allowed her to have a break so that she could get something to eat.
But inside the café there were also a couple of computers that had access to the internet. Since there was one free she decided just to have a quick surf. She checked her emails and went on a couple of gossip websites. But eventually she went onto Google and began to search for an alternate way to make her taller.
Eventually she came across an article about a Doctor who lived within the city. The column about him said that he had been able enlarge animals. Although some scientists had called it all false Maria was drawn into it. She knew that it was a long shot but she emailed the Doctor.
Maria did a background check on this Doctor. His name was Antonio Hisslop, he had graduated with an M.I.T and was suppose to be a gifted scientist. His studies were into the growth of organic beings. He had claimed that he had discovered a lot and been experimenting. For now he had only done his experimentation on animals. Some he claimed had been successful while others he had claimed as complete failures.
A few days past and Maria received an email back from Doctor Hisslop. She had told him that she was interested in his work and he seemed to be quite keen. He gave her an address and to meet there within a couple of days. She was over the moon with this information and she couldn’t wait.
But just then one of Maria’s colleagues tapped her on the shoulder. Maria turned to see a fairly tall woman looking at her. They both smiled at each other before her friend looked on the screen.
“Dating online I see,” said Maria’s friend.
“No Hannah but I think I can actually make myself taller,” replied Maria.
“I told you just to wear very high heels.”
“I can’t walk in those. Last time I tried to walk in them I almost broke my ankle. But this guy he’s a Doctor and he specialises in making things large. He’s said he’s been successful with animals.”
“He could say that he’s the King of England. But it doesn’t mean that it’s true. You’re risking a lot with this guy.”
“I’ve tried everything else. This is my last chance.”
“Then all I can do is wish you the best of luck.”
“Thanks.”
But as the days went on Maria felt both nervous and excited about meeting Doctor Hisslop. She wanted to be taller almost as much as she wanted to live. But she had to be careful. Hannah words had made her more cautious. A couple of times she did feel like calling it off. But she thought that the pros outweighed the cons and she went to the address that she had been given.
But instead of being at any lab like she was expecting she ended up in a small restaurant outside of Beverly Hills. At first she thought that she had gotten the wrong address. But then she saw Doctor Antonio Hisslop sitting at a table. She recognised him from his picture that she had seen in his article. He was just sitting there having a nice cold drink.
Maria pulled up a chair and sat down. He looked at her a little and gave her a huge smile before having one more sip of his drink.
“So are you Maria Declan?” asked Antonio.
“Yeah that’s me,” replied Maria. “I recognise you from your picture. But I thought we’d be going to your place. Not a restaurant.”
“Well I can’t give my home address just to anyone. I wanted to see who you really were before talk about anything. Now tell me have you brought anyone with you today? Or are you on your own?”
“Yeah I’m alone.”
“Good now after I’ve drunk this I’ll take you to my lab?”
“Is it far?”
“Only a mile or so.”
Antonio then drank the rest of his drink and he put it down on the table. The pair swiftly left the restaurant and went into a taxi to a warehouse. As they went inside Maria jumped with fright when she saw a dog that was even taller then her. It was 6 feet tall and quickly gave her a lick.
“Be nice to our guest Spike,” said Antonio. The dog then backed down.
But in other cages around the warehouse Maria saw cages with animals in that were above their normal size. She saw a couple of rabbits, a cat, a squirrel and even a bird or two.
“They’re so big,” said Maria.
“The fruits of my research,” replied Antonio. “It’s quite easy to do. I just added a couple of drugs to their Pituitary gland and it causes them to grow. Normally if they go too much above their natural size they start to suffer quite badly as seen with people and animals above average. But the drug also enhances their body so that they can copy with their extra size and weight.”
“Amazing.”
“The drug normally wears out after a while leaving the creature above average size and with a body capable of handling their new size.”
“Have you ever tested it on humans?”
“Of course not. I’d never get approval about that from the Government. Hell I’ve only just about got approval to test it on animals.”
“Then you can’t help me.”
“Help you with what?”
“With me.”
“What’s wrong with you?”
“Look at me I’m not even 5 feet tall. I want to be as tall as everyone else. All my life I’ve been the midget.”
“How tall is your ideal height?”
“I don’t know. Around 5’8.”
“I can’t help you. Do you know the amount of trouble I’d get to if I did anything to you?”
“Please I’m begging you. I’ve tried everything else. And if I’m a success then you cans how the world that you were right. If it worked for the animals it’ll work on me as well. Please you’re my last hope.”
“I don’t know. It’s a big risk. I don’t know what’ll happen if inject you with the drug. It might not even work.”
“You’ve got to try. I’ll do anything for you.”
“I still can’t take the risk. Even if it’s a success then people will notice that you’re getting taller and it’ll lead back to me.”
“I’ll just say that I’m getting a late growth spurt. I’ve read in some rare cases people my age can actually get taller naturally.”
“Plus the drug isn’t cheap.”
“Whatever it costs I’ll pay. Please I just want to feel normal.”
Maria then put on her puppy dog eyes. This had never failed with any man and Antonio couldn’t help but melt away at her. He then gave out a sigh and looked at her a little. Maria could see that she won.
“Ok come here this time next week with three thousand dollars,” said Antonio. “Then we can go through the procedure.”
“Oh thank you,” replied Maria. She then gave Antonio the biggest hug that she had ever given anyone in her life. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
“I can’t breathe properly.”
“Oh sorry.” She then released her grip and Antonio began to get his breath back. He also coughed a little. “Guess I don’t know my own strength.”
“I can see that. But please don’t tell anyone about this. If anyone finds out I could go to jail.”
“Don’t worry no one will know from me.”
“Good.”
“Thanks again.”
Maria then left the warehouse as if she had been told that she was going to survive a deadly disease. She seemed to be full of life and she practically skipped around. Anyone who looked at her thought that she had gone mad. But she didn’t care what others thought of her. Her dreams were about to come true.
For Maria the week flashed by and she had to drain a lot of money out of her account. But eventually she got herself back to the warehouse with the money. She was extremely excited at the thought of being taller. She thought that she would finally be able to buy things that weren’t in the children’s section of clothes shops.
When she went into the warehouse she could see Antonio mixing a couple of chemicals into a test tube. He was surprised to see Maria and then he remembered that she was coming. She gave him a big smile.
“Right I’m here,” said Maria.
“Oh yeah,” replied Antonio. “Got my money?”
Out of her purse Maria got out an envelope and gave it to Antonio. He opened it and found three thousand dollars in cash. He smiled a little before putting it into his pocket. He then looked back at Maria.
“So what do you have to do?” asked Maria.
“Well first I need you to sit down,” replied Antonio. “In this chair to be precise.” He then pointed to a chair right next to a desk. Maria quickly sat down on it. “Now I need you to take this?” He then gave her a white pill.
“Will this make me grow taller?”
“No this will knock you out.”
“Why do you need to knock me out?”
“Because the next stage is extremely painful. I think we’d both prefer it if it were painless.”
“Fine.”
Maria then took the pill and within seconds she began to feel drowsy. Before she knew it she had fallen asleep. Antonio then got a syringe with a green liquid inside it. He put the needle just under Maria’s eye and he injected the drug. He didn’t inject all of it, but it was a good three quarters of the contents.
Maria woke up a couple of hours later. He head hurt like hell and she tried to stand up. But she couldn’t stay on her feet and she almost fell over again. But Antonio saw her and quickly stopped her from falling.
“Did I fall asleep?” she asked.
“You did for a while,” replied Antonio.
She then looked at herself and then looked at Antonio. Everything seemed to be the same as before.
“I’m not taller,” she said.
“Of course not you don’t grow just like that. It takes time.”
“How long?”
“Well report to me when you’ve grown at least an inch.”
“How do I know that you just didn’t drug me and take my money?”
“Believe me I haven’t. I’ll tell you what if you think I’ve done nothing then come back here and take whatever you want.”
“You could move it all.”
“Believe me I’m stuck here. I couldn’t even move if I wanted to.”

Over the next week Maria measured herself every morning when she woke up. For the first couple of days she didn’t notice any difference. But on the fifth day she saw that she was a little taller. It was just under a centimetre but it was definitely something. She knew that the treatment was working.
She grew an extra inch by the end of the week. Maria was jumping with joy. At first she thought that Doctor Hisslop might have been some kind of con man. But now that she saw that she was indeed growing her insecurities about him simple melted away. She looked forward to her life as a taller woman.
Maria remembered that’s he had to report to Antonio when she had grown her first inch. Thankfully he had given her his phone number so she simple called him. She was still very excited.
She had to wait a moment for Antonio to pick up the phone. At first she didn’t think he was there. But he eventually picked up.
“Hello,” said Antonio.
“Hey Antonio it’s me Maria,” replied Maria.
“Oh hello Maria.”
“I’m just ringing up to say that I’ve grown an inch.”
“Wow that fast?”
“Yep I can’t believe it but your drugs actually worked. Hopefully soon I’ll be my ideal height.”
“Yeah hopefully you will.” There was some concern in his voice. But Maria was too excited to notice.
“Thanks again Antonio. Bye.”
“Yeah bye.”
He then put the phone down and began to think. None of the animals he had tested on had grown that fast in comparison. It had taken them over a year to get to their size. But Maria had grown an inch within a week. He just hoped that the drug worked faster with humans. But he knew that he would have to keep a close eye on her.
The next day in her excitement Maria went out shopping. She brought clothes that would fit her when she grew to 5’8. She also bought a couple of clothes that would fit her nearer to the future. She couldn’t try any of them on yet since she was still too short. But she couldn’t wait to put some of them on.
But while she was out she saw a friend of hers that she would talk to on some occasions. They were happy to see each other and they gave each other a little hug. Maria’s friend was average height with long black hair and brown eyes. Her name was Kylie and they had been friends for some time.
“Hey there Maria,” said Kylie. “You look a little different.”
“I know I’m taller,” replied Maria.
“What you finally started wearing heels?”
“No.” She then pointed to her feet and Kylie saw that she was wearing flat shoes. “Flat shoes as always.”
“So how much taller are you?”
“Only an inch but I’m still growing. I’ve even bought some new clothes for when I’m taller.”
“Always thinking ahead. That’s my little Maria.”
Maria then felt her stomach. She was very hungry even though she had eaten fairly recently.
“Do you want to go and get something to eat?” asked Maria. “Right now I could eat a whole horse.”
“Yeah sure,” replied Kylie. “Do you like Chinese?”
“I guess so.”
“Great I know a place where they do the best Chinese food and at a reasonable price. Wanna go there?”
“Sure.”
“Great. And then you can tell me all about your little growth spurt.”

As the weeks went on Maria continued to inch up to her ideal height. With every inch she gained her confidence also grew. She was going out at night a lot more and she didn’t mind going out in shorter skirts since her legs were no longer then before. A couple of people were surprised that she had grown so quickly. But she didn’t mind. In fact the faster the better in her eyes.
But she was constantly being called by Doctor Hisslop. He called almost twice a week asking how tall she was. She would respond with her actual height and he was recording it down. He was more surprised then everyone else with how quickly she was grown. In the space of around five weeks she had grown from 4’10 to 5’7. At first it had been fairly slow but he had noticed that she was gaining height faster. But for now he didn’t want to say anything. He didn’t want to worry her yet.
One morning when Maria woke up she measured herself. She expected to be 5’8 but instead she seemed to be 5’9. This surprised her a little but she still seemed to be pretty happy with herself.
“I guess an extra couple of inches wouldn’t hurt,” said Maria to herself. “Maybe looking down at my friends makes a nice change.”
Later that day Maria ran into Kylie again at the mall. She almost jumped when she saw Maria. At first she thought that she was another woman. But her face hadn’t changed and her hair also remained the same.
“Maria?” asked Kylie.
“That’s my name,” replied Maria. “Don’t wear it out.”
“My how you’ve…”
“Grown?”
“Yeah. Six weeks ago you were still a lot shorter then me. But now you’re a good two inches taller then me.”
“Well its nice being tall for once.”
“What exactly did you say that Doc injected into you?”
“I don’t know and I don’t really care. It’s working and it’s done its job. I admit I am a little taller then I wanted to be but I don’t mind being a little taller.”
“I think you really should go see him. I might not be a Nobel Prize winning scientist but I know that people shouldn’t grow that fast. You could have a lot of problems.”
“He said that it had worked with animals with no side effects. It’ll work fine for me. But it should wear off soon.”
“Please promise me that you’ll see him.”
“Not straight a way. I’ll do you a deal If I grow beyond let’s say 6’1 then I will go and see him again.”
“Ok then you promise you’ll do that.”
“I promise and besides being above 6’1 is too tall.”
Maria and Kylie talked a little more before they parted ways. Maria shopped for some more clothes since most of hers didn’t fit her anymore. She now had to shop in the tall section of the stores since the smaller sizes were useless.
But as she left the store she saw that she was being watched by a man. He was very well dressed and she didn’t think he was a typical weirdo. She vaguely recognised him although she swore that she had never seen him before in person.
She began to walk away but he quickly walked in front of her. She jumped a little and took a step back.
“I’m sorry did I scare you?” he asked.
“Yes you did,” replied Maria. “What are you some kind of stalker?”
“For the last minute or so yes.” He then paused for a moment. “How rude of me I haven’t introduced myself I’m Andre Lopez.”
“You mean the famous fashion designer?” She was awestruck for a moment.
“Oh yes and I must say you have a lovely figure.”
“Thanks I guess.”
He then took a card out of his pocket. “If you’re ever interested in modelling give me a call.”
“You mean I can be a model?” This was an extremely happy moment for. No one had ever said she could be a model. She had always been too short.
“Oh yes. You’re a very attractive woman and in my designs you would look simple dashing.”
“Thank you.”
Maria then received the card and she stood there for a moment. She still couldn’t believe what was happening. She now truly loved being tall.

But over the next week Maria continued to get taller. She was growing out of clothes almost as fast as she could buy them. She had to take a couple of them back to the stores since they were too small. Many of the staff had remembered her trying on the clothes in the store and them fitting perfectly. Some thought that she was wearing them once and them bringing them back to save money. A couple of places didn’t allow returns and she was stuck with her clothes.
But one afternoon after getting out of the bath she was looking at herself in the mirror. By now she had reached 5’11 but that wasn’t the only thing that shocked her. She looked at her body in the mirror and saw that it had completely changed. Her legs were a lot longer in proportion to the rest of her body then they previously had been. They made more then half her overall height. Her breasts had also increased in size. Most of her bras barely fit her anymore. She couldn’t find any fat on her body. It all seemed very firm and she felt a little muscle in some places.
But while she was looking at her body she remembered that she hadn’t shaven her legs in weeks. But when she looked at them they were still hairless. Her eyebrows were still the same and she didn’t have to style her hair. The hair itself hadn’t even grown. It was still the same length in proportion to the rest of her body.
She quickly went into the bathroom to clean her teeth. When she bobbed her tongue out to check if that was alright she noticed something in the back of her mouth. At first she didn’t recognise it but the harder she looked the more she realised that they were her tonsils. This would be normal for anyone but Maria had her tonsils removed when she was 5 years old. She also noticed that the holes where her ear piercing were had closed up. She couldn’t get any of them in.
“What’s happening to me?” she thought. “I don’t know if this is exactly a good thing or a bad.”
An addition five days past and she inched up to 6’1. She couldn’t really buy that many clothes in her size and she was going to contact Doctor Hisslop. But she decided that she would do it within a few days since she was going out that night and she had a photo shoot the next afternoon.. But there was one thing that also Maria noticed had changed. She hadn’t gone to the toilet for over a week even though she was eating more then she normally did. She didn’t know whether it was a blessing or if she was ill.
But although she was worried she still went out with her friends. They went to a local bar to grab a few drinks. While Maria was there a man approached her. At first she was nervous since she didn’t think anyone wanted her when she was shorter. But now that she was taller her nervousness melted away.
“Hey,” he said. “Can I get the pretty lady a drink?”
“Yeah sure,” replied Maria.
“What do you want?”
“A vodka and cola will do.”
He then ordered Maria a vodka and cola and the bar tender gave it to her. She drank it pretty quickly to the amazement of the man. He was fairly tall with short blond hair and blue eyes.
“Calm down,” he said. “You don’t want to get too drunk quite yet.”
“Sorry I guess I was just thirsty,” replied Maria.
“I’m Ben by the way.”
“Maria.”
“Ok Maria want another one?”
“Sure.”
Over the night Maria drank several vodkas and she did get a little tipsy. But she was holding her alcohol a lot better then she expected to. She had enough to knock an average man twice her weight unconscious. But she was still fairly sober.
But later Ben and Maria went back into her apartment and they slept together. Ben was very drunk but he was a pleasant drunk. He didn’t try to do anything to her that she didn’t approve of. Eventually they both fell asleep in her double bed.
When Maria woke up the next morning she looked to the other side of her bed and saw that Ben was missing. At first she thought that he had just left. But then she smelled bacon in the kitchen. A few seconds later Ben opened the door to her room and he saw her lying there.
“I was beginning to think you weren’t waking up,” said Ben.
“What time is it?” replied Maria.
“10:45 time for breakfast.”
“Oh thanks.”
Maria slowly got out of her bed and walked over to Ben. But then she had the biggest shock of her life. She specifically remembered the previous night that Ben was an inch taller then her. But now she was two inches taller then him.

Maria was still in disbelief. She knew that she was growing fast but this was impossible even to her standards. She had grown a full three inches in one night. She didn’t think that was remotely possible.
But for now Ben didn’t really notice that much that she was taller then him. He just laughed a little. But when he saw the true terror in Maria’s face he quickly realised that something was wrong.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“I’m sorry but you’re gonna have to go,” replied Maria.
“What?”
“Get changed and please leave.”
“Did I do something wrong?”
“No you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just that I’ve gotta be somewhere right now.” He tried to rush him.
“Can I have my breakfast?”
“Eat it then leave.”
“Ok fine.”
Ben then went back into the kitchen and ate his breakfast. Maria on the other hand went to her wardrobe to pick out something to wear. But all her clothes were too small for her. She tried to put on a pink top but it was far too small for her. In the end she had to put on a blue summer dress that looked too short for her and a pair of flip flops. Although her feet were too big for them they were the only things she had that remotely fit her now enormous size.
When Ben finished his breakfast Maria had to rush him out so that she could leave herself. She went to her car and had to adjust the seat for her now longer legs. She didn’t really like driving while wearing flip flops since she didn’t have that much grip on the pedals. But since she had no other footwear that fitted she didn’t have much of a choice. She also had to lower her chair so that her head didn’t hit the car ceiling.
As if she was a NASCAR race Maria drove to Doctor Hisslop’s lab. She even went through a red light to get there. Right now she didn’t care if she got a ticket or two. She just wanted to see Doctor Hisslop as soon as possible. She hoped that he would have something to stop her growth. By her standards she was too tall and she knew that she was still growing.
When she did eventually reach Doctor Hisslop’s lab she knocked on the door very loud. She could hear a few of the animals inside making a noise when she knocked the door. But a couple of seconds later Doctor Hisslop came to the door.
“Can I…” said Doctor Hisslop. He then saw that he was looking at a neck. He then raised his head up to see Maria’s face. “Help you?”
“Antonio something’s very wrong,” replied Maria.
“I can see that. Come inside quickly.”
Maria then went through the door and followed Antonio to his desk. He then sat down behind it and looked at her again.
“You should have come to me before things got this way,” he said.
“It wasn’t this bad yesterday,” replied Maria.
“What do you mean?”
“Last night I gained an extra three inches.”
“Really.” He was very surprised by this. “That’s almost a scientific impossibility. No one can grow that fast.”
“What’s happening to me?”
“I need to run a couple of tests.”
Over the next hour Doctor Hisslop performed several tests on Maria. Her current height was 6’4 and a half, her weight was 203 pounds but he noticed that it was steadily raising. He took a couple of blood samples and he was very surprised with what he was seeing. But eventually he went through the results of the test with her.
“This is not good,” said Antonio. “Definitely not good.”
“What’s happening to me?” replied Maria.
“It seems that the drug reacts with humans differently to animals. Where the animals stopped growing you are just carrying on.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean you’ll just get larger and larger.”
“Wait a minute. I remember reading somewhere that the human body can not go past a certain point. Very, very tall people have health problems right?”
“Which they do and I saw that in my earlier test subjects. So when I gave them my chemical I’d also give them another drug that would help the body cope with their new sizes. Thankfully I injected it into you as well just in case anything like this happened. But there are some positive side effects from the drug. My animals don’t excrete and they can practically re-grow limbs.”
“I grew back my tonsils. Does that count?”
“Yes and any injuries your body gets it instantly recovers.”
“That’s all interesting but can you please stop my growth.”
“I can’t.”

“What?” asked Maria.
“I can’t stop your growth,” replied Doctor Hisslop.
“What do you mean you can’t stop my growth?”
“I mean that after I’ve injected the drugs into your body the only time when you stop growing is when they wear off.”
“And how long will that take?”
“Normally not long but after your tests the drugs are flowing stronger then ever. I’m afraid that it’ll be a while.”
Maria’s world was crumbling around her. Now she knew the true meaning of the saying “Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.” She was tall like she had always wanted to be. But she didn’t want to get any taller and now it seemed that was the only things she would be doing. At first she felt anger and then she felt sorrow. She hugged Doctor Hisslop and cried on his shoulder.
“What am I going to do?” asked Maria.
“The only thing you can do is try and live your life as normal?”
“How the hell can I live my life normally when I’m constantly growing? This is all your fault.”
“You knew the risks of the procedure and I did warn you numerous times. But you still went along with it.” He then gave out a small sigh. “Look I’ll do everything I can to stop your growth But I doubt I’ll be able to reduce you.”
“Reduce me?”
“Or should I say shrink. Whatever height you’ll be when the drug wears off or if I find a cure you’ll stay at that height.”
“I guess its better then nothing.”
Maria then looked up at a clock and realised what time it was. She quickly began to move away from Doctor Hisslop. He was unsure what she was doing. But she seemed to be in a rush.
“Where are you going Maria?” asked Doctor Hisslop.
“I’ve got a photo shoot,” replied Maria. “I’ll be back in a few hours.”
“Is this really the best time?”
“I’m doing what you told me to do. I’m going to try and live my life like normal. Or as close as I can.”
Maria then left the warehouse and drove away. Doctor Hisslop put a sample of Maria’s blood through the computer and he ran it through a simulation. He wanted to see just how tall she would grow before she stopped. But to his horror the computer estimated that she would grow infinitely. He knew that she would eventually grow so tall that she would suffocate. But now it was more important then ever to find a cure.
It only took minutes for Maria to get to the model agency. Most of the people who were in the building couldn’t believe that she was the same woman. Most of them had seen her roughly a week earlier and she was a little under 6 feet tall. Now she was 6’4 going onto 6’5.
Maria was given bikini to wear for shoot. The bottoms were a little tight for her but she could barely put the top on. She had grown so much in the past week that the bra almost didn’t fit her. But she was having some difficulties breathing in it. She had to make sure that it didn’t just snap off.
Eventually Maria was ready with her shoot. She lined up with a lot of other models. When she was hired they had all been the same height. But now Maria was much taller then the rest of them. The photographer was having some problems.
“Maria can you please take off your heels,” said the Photographer.
“I’m not wearing heels,” replied Maria.
“The crouch until you’re as tall as the others.”
Maria did what she was told. Thankfully the photographer wasn’t taking a picture of their legs. He was only taking one of the upper part of the body.

The Photographer then began to take pictures of the women. Maria was very uncomfortable and she really wanted to leave. But she wanted the money and to be known as a model. She was going to have to endure this for a while. But for now she just had to concentrate on the shoot.
After half an hour of taking some pictures the models were allowed to get something to eat from a table with refreshments. Most of the models didn’t really eat anything. But Maria was taking platefuls of food and eating them within seconds. She didn’t realise how hungry she was until she started eating. It took her a few minutes to notice that the others were watching her.
“Haven’t you ever seen a person eat?” asked Maria.
After eating her third plate of food it was time for Maria and the others to return to the shoot. But she was still uncomfortable and she felt like she was going to burst out of her bikini top.
The Photographer was just getting his camera ready to take more pictures. But Maria was still very uncomfortable. She didn’t want to be there for much longer. She then quickly cleared her throat.
“How long are we going to be here for?” asked Maria.
“As long as it takes,” replied the Photographer. “The quicker we get these photos the sooner we can get out of here.”
Maria had to just stand there and look good. But then she began to hear a small cracking noise. At first she thought that she was just hearing things. But when she heard it again she knew that it wasn’t her imagination.
Suddenly without warning her bikini top ripped off her and the photographer accidentally took a picture of her without her top on. She quickly covered her breasts with her hands and was in panic. The other models were talking amongst themselves over what had just happened.
“Maria are you…” asked the photographer.
“I need to go,” replied Maria.
She then quickly ran away. She was able to pick up her dress and she put it back on. But it was even tighter then it had been before. But she couldn’t really think about that right now. She just got back into her car and began to race back to Doctor Hisslop’s lab. She wanted to get there as soon as possible.
But unfortunately her speeding hadn’t gone unnoticed. A cop car began to pursue her and she had no choice but to pull over. The Officer then walked to her window and knocked it. She put the window down and looked at him.
“Do you know why I’ve pulled you over ma’am?” asked the Officer.
“I was speeding,” replied Maria.
“At least you know what you did. Now can I see both your license and registration please?”
“But I’m in the middle of an emergency.”
“Your license and registration please.”
Maria then got her license and registration out and gave it to the Officer. He looked at her license and then looked at her. He had read that she was 4’10. But from the way she was in the car he knew that she was definitely a lot taller then that.
“Can you step out of the car please ma’am,” said the Officer. She then slowly got out of the car and stood up. The Officer was amazed to see how tall she was. “Ma’am you are no where near 4’10. My guess is you’re close to 6’6. You do realise that this is forgery? I’m going to have to take you in.”
“But Officer that’s my problem,” replied Maria. “I’m growing.”
“Yeah right this license was issued six months ago. No way a person could grow more then a foot and a half in that time.”
“But Officer.”
But it was too late for her. The Officer got out his cuffs and then put them around her wrists.
“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights?”
Maria was then taken to the cop car and put into the backseat. She felt very cramped due to the lack of leg room.

There was nothing Maria wanted to do more then just get back to the lab and get cured. But unfortunately that was unlikely to happen anytime soon. She was taken to the local police station and put into custody. The cell she was in was very small and she felt a little claustrophobic. But for now all she could was sit down and wait on the bed. She heard it creak when she sat on it.
From where she was she could see other people in cells around her. There were a few men and women and a couple were staring at her. She tried not to look at them back but she did feel like she had no privacy.
While she waited she could feel her dress getting a little tighter every so often. It worried her a great deal and she just tried to think of happy thoughts. But right now no happy thought could really give her any comfort.
Eventually an Officer came to her door and she stood up. She quickly went over to him and she grabbed the bars.
“Please you’ve got to let me out it’s an emergency,” said Maria. “I need to see Doctor Hisslop right away.”
“Sorry lady but you’re not going anywhere,” replied the Officer.
“Then can I have my one phone call?”
“Fine.”
Maria then was temporarily released from her cell and taken to a phone. She dialled one of the few people she knew that would help her. She just hoped that her friend was at home.
“Hello,” said a voice on the phone.
“Hey Kylie its Maria,” replied Maria.
“Hi.”
“I need to ask you a really big favour.”
“And what’s that?”
“I need you to come down to the police station and bail me out.”
“What have you done?”
“They think I forged my driver’s licence.”
“And why would they think that?”
“I’m a lot taller then it says on the licence. But that’s not my only problem something happened last night?”
“You got knocked up?”
“No but something happened to me and now I’m growing at an impossible rate.”
“You were growing at an impossible rate anyway.”
“More so now. From around midnight last night to now I’ve grown 5 or 6 inches.”
“You’re kidding right?”
“No I went to bed last night at 6’1 and now I’m 6’6 maybe a little taller. Please I need you to bail me out so I can get back to Doctor Hisslop.”
“Fine I’ll be there as fast as I can.”
Maria finished her conversation and was taken back to her cell. She had to wait for several more minutes until another Officer came to the cell door. He then opened it and looked at her.
“Ok you’re free to go,” said the Officer. “Your bails been paid but you will be investigated further.”
“Ok,” replied Maria.
The Officer then led her out of the cells and to the main desk. Kylie was there waiting for her. She couldn’t get over how tall Maria was. It was like looking up to an Amazon. She just hoped that she didn’t have to look up to her too much. Kylie was worried that she’d get a neck strain.
“Oh my God,” said Kylie.
“You can stare in astonishment later,” replied Maria. “You need to get me back to Doctor Hisslop.”
“oh right.”
The pair then went outside and Kylie got into her car. Maria was going to have to get into the car as well. But it was a very small car and not designed for someone of her height. She had to squeeze in as best as she could. But she was very cramped due to the lack of both leg room and head room. She just hoped that Doctor Hisslop can help her out somehow.

Maria was very cramped in the car. She had always been a little claustrophobic. But this was just making her feel worse. Kylie didn’t seem to be driving too fast and this was annoying her.
“Can’t you go any faster?” asked Maria.
“I’m going the speed limit Maria,” replied Kylie. “I don’t want to be pulled over like you did.”
“Fine.”
All Maria could do was sit and wait until she reached the lab. But when they did get there she opened the car door and she struggled to get out. It took her a good minute or two for her to get out. She was glad to be able to stand up again. It felt like she had been in the car forever.
But when she went to go through the door to the warehouse something hit her head. It took her by surprise and she fell to the ground. Kylie quickly went to her aid and helped her up. But she struggled since Maria was now a lot heavier then she had been before her growth.
“Are you alright?” asked Kylie.
“Yeah I’m fine,” replied Maria. “What did I hit?”
“The top of the doorframe.”
“What?”
As Maria got back to her feet she saw that she had indeed hit the doorframe. She looked in amazement. She couldn’t believe how much she had grown in such short time. But she couldn’t worry about it right now. She wanted to see Doctor Hisslop as soon as she possibly could.
When she went into the lab she saw Doctor Hisslop going over some results from Maria’s tests. He was surprised to see her.
“M-Maria,” said Doctor Hisslop. “Where have you been?”
“Long story Doc,” replied Maria.
“I need to take one more measurement.”
Maria then walked to where Doctor Hisslop would measure her height. He placed the marker on the top of her head. He was surprised by the results and so was she. She looked at where the marker was.
“That can’t be right,” said Maria.
“I’m afraid it is right,” replied Doctor Hisslop. “You’re 6’7. You’ve grown two and a half inches since the last check a couple of hours ago.”
Meanwhile Kylie was just going into the lab. She could hear a lot of animal sounds and she went to investigate. But when she saw the huge animals in the cages she was overcome by fear. When a huge dog began to bark at her she ran screaming. She didn’t look where she was going and she ran into Maria. Kylie fell over but Maria herself didn’t even move. She quickly helped her friend back to her feet and Kylie was still in some state of shock.
“What’s wrong?” asked Maria.
“B-big animals,” replied Kylie.
“Big animals?” She then realised what her friend meant. “Oh yeah. You must have seen Doctor Hisslop’s other experiments. Ay least they stopped growing. I can’t say the same for myself.”
“I’m working on it,” replied Doctor Hisslop. “For now there’s only one thing I can tell you to do.”
“What’s that?”
“try and go through the days as if everything was normal. I’ll contact you when I find a cure.”
“How the hell am I suppose to try and live my life as normal? I’m 6’7 and still growing. In a few days I’ll be the tallest woman on the planet.”

For now there was nothing Maria could really do. She was hungry and it was getting late. Kylie just wanted to leave the lab. The giant animals gave her the creeps and since her friend was still growing it wasn’t doing any good for her nerves. They just left Doctor Hisslop to get on with his work.
Maria struggled to get back into the car. Her car was still in the Police impound lot and she hadn’t gotten around to getting it out. For now it was the last thing on her mind. She just wanted to stop growing. She already felt like a freak and she was just growing and growing and growing.
When she reached home Maria almost exploded out of the car and she went to the driver’s side window. She had the crouch down quite a bit so that she could talk to her friend.
“Are you sure you’ll be alright?” asked Kylie. “I can stay if you want me to.”
“No I’ll be alright,” replied Maria. “Anyway I’ve got work tomorrow morning. I shouldn’t stay up much later.”
“Ok then I’ll call you tomorrow.”
“Ok.”
Kylie then drove off and Maria went into her apartment. She remembered to duck under the doorframe this time. Her apartment almost looked alien to her. Everything seemed lower to her. She went over to a shelf to get a can of beans. She remembered at one point she had to get a step just to reach it. But now she was eye level with the shelf and she was easily able to take it off.
As a snack before going to bed she had six rounds of toast with a full can of beans. It only just filled her up and she staggered to bed. Since none of her bed clothes fit her she had to sleep in her bra and panties although they were also very tight on her. But she felt completely tired and she fell asleep.
As she slept she continued to grow. Her feet were way off the end of bed. But she failed to notice as she slept peacefully. If anyone watched her they would think that she didn’t have a care in the world.
But when she woke up the next morning. She found that she was naked. She quickly got out of bed and saw the bra and panties there. They had snapped off her while she was sleeping. She had to get a few cloths to wrap it around her private areas. But when she looked around at everything the world seemed to have shrunk once more. She quickly grabbed a tape measure and measured herself. She was now 6’11 and this shocked her. She thought that within a few hours she would reach 7 feet tall.
But she didn’t have time to really think about it. She had to get into work and her uniform wouldn’t fit her. Faster then she thought possible Maria was able to sew a couple of her uniforms together to make a bigger on that would fit her. She had to put her flip flops on again since she still didn’t have any shoes that fit her and she had to race to work.
But she forgot that her car was still at the impound. She had no choice but to go on a bus. Thankfully for her there was a bus stop near her apartment. But when she walked down the street people turned and stared at her briefly. She tried to ignore them as best as she could. But it was difficult when practically everyone was staring at her.
But getting onto the bus was no easy job either. She struggled to get through the door and she was forced to stand up since there wasn’t enough leg room for her in the seats. Her head was only inches from the ceiling of the bus.
People on the bus were still staring at her although most tried to make it not look obvious. This was making her feel more like a freak. She was hoping that her day at work would go somewhat better.

The bus journey seemed to last for an eternity for Maria. She felt very cramped in the seats and she also felt a little paranoid. She thought that everyone was staring at her. But when she looked she saw that people were minding their own business. This came as some relief.
But then she noticed that she was almost at her stop. She reached up and pulled the cable and the bus came to a slow stop at the bus stop. Maria then slowly stood up and began to get off the bus. She heard a couple of people talking but she just ignored them as best as she could. But it did make her feel low inside.
No sooner had Maria gotten off the bus she raced into the café where she worked. But when she got there her manager almost fainted at the sight of her. She could hardly recognise the one petite Maria to the now towering Amazon.
“M-Maria is that you up there?” asked her Manager.
“Yes it’s me,” replied Maria.
“What happened to you?”
“It’s a long story. I just want to get working.”
“R-right.”
Maria then began to wait the tables. She saw two men sitting at a table and she got her notepad and pen out. She walked over to them and was ready to take their order. She just hoped that it would run smoothly.
“Hi welcome to O’Neil’s can I take your order?” she asked.
“Yes,” replied one of the men. He then turned around and expected to see the face of a woman. But instead he could just see under her breasts. He looked up further to see Maria’s face. “Wow.”
“Can I take your order?”
“Order? Oh yes I’d like a tall coffee…” He then stopped himself. “I mean a large coffee. And my friend would like a large latte.”
“Sure coming right up.”
As the day went through more and more customers noticed just how tall Maria was. She could also feel herself getting taller. On her break she went to a quiet place and she measured herself. Since that morning she had gained an additional 2 inches making her 7’1 tall. But she had not reason to celebrate breaking through the 7 foot mark. And things were going from bad to worse for her.
Near the end of her shift she was called to her manager’s office. She didn’t think that she had done anything wrong. But her manager seemed to be worried with what he was going to say.
“Can you take a seat please?” he asked her.
Maria then pulled up a seat and she sat down. The chair creaked when she sat on it. She was amazed that it didn’t break.
“What is it?” replied Maria.
“We seem to have a problem Maria.”
“What’s the problem?”
“First off is your dress code. I know it looks like the uniform but what you’re wearing does not come up to standards. You’re also wearing open toed shoes which are something that is particularly said not to wear in your contract.”
“But these are the only clothes and shoes that fit me.”
“And your growth spurt seems to be causing some hysteria with the customers. When most people come in here to eat or drink it’s to relax and enjoy themselves. Most customers are put off if they’re served by someone who should be in the WNBA. I know you can’t help your sudden growth spurt but unfortunately you’ve left me with no choice. I’m going to have to let you go.”
“What?”
“I’m sorry Maria.”
At first she felt enraged. But then she realised that it was her own fault that this was happening. She quickly turned sad and she began to cry. Her manager passed her a tissue and she blew her nose.

Maria didn’t want to stay in the café for too much longer. All she did was said goodbye to her work colleagues and she picked up her stuff from the locker and she just left. At this moment in time she was very sad.
As she walked down the street she kicked a can while she walked. It was a way to vent her frustration and anger. She didn’t notice that people were still staring at her. But she simple ignored them.
“What am I going to do now?” she thought. “I need money for clothes and food. I won’t get far if I don’t have money.”
She didn’t notice where she was walking and she walked into a lamp post. This caused her some pain and it just annoyed at first. But then she noticed an advertisement on the lamp post.
It read “See the world’s strongest man, the bearded woman and many more at Alvin’s freak show. At Dickinson’s park.”
Dickinson’s park was only a couple of blocks away. She thought that she could join the freak show. She didn’t like to think of herself as a freak but it looked like the only way she could make some money. There might have been a few people in the world who were still taller then her but at the rate she was growing she would soon be called the tallest woman in the world.
Maria quickly walked to Dickinson’s park and almost immediately she saw the freak show. At that moment in time the show wasn’t going on. But she saw what seemed to be a mobile office. She slowly walked towards it and knocked on the door. She stood there for a moment.
“Who is it?” asked a voice.
“Hello sir,” replied Maria. “My name’s Maria.”
“Do I know you?”
“No.”
“Then buzz off I’ve got more important things to worry about.”
“But I want to join your freak show.”
“There’s no jobs.”
“I can’t believe I’m saying this.” She said this part quietly. “I want to be one of the freaks.” She said this loud.
“Oh yeah what makes you a freak.”
“I’m tall.”
“There’s lot of tall people out there.”
“No I mean I’m really, really, really tall.”
Just then the door opened a man came out. He was no more the 4 feet tall and had long black hair and a beard. He was used to seeing women taller then him but Maria completely shocked him. She was definitely the tallest woman he had ever seen in his life. He noticed that she was very beautiful as well and he could see her making a lot of money for him.
“Come in we have a lot to discuss,” said the dwarf.
He went inside the mobile building and Maria followed. She had to duck down to get in and her head pressed against the ceiling. It wasn’t because she was all that tall. The building just had a very low ceiling.
“Can I work for you then?” asked Maria. “I’m desperate for money.”
“Sure thing,” replied the Dwarf. “Mary…”
“Maria.”
“Maria I’m going to make you a star. You’re going to be bigger then Elvis.” He then paused for a moment. “I guess you already are but you get my point.”
“I do have one problem.”
“What’s that?”
“I’m still growing.”
“Good an extra few inches will do wonders for your career.” He then went to his desk and got out a contract and a pen. “Just sign here and I guarantee that you’re going to be a star.”
“Ok I guess.”
Maria signed on the dotted line and failed to read the contract.

“So when do I begin?” asked Maria.
“In an hour,” replied the Dwarf. “Go and meet your co-stars. They’re out in the back somewhere.”
“But what do I say to them?”
“You seem like a smart girl you can figure it out.”
Maria was literally pushed out of the wagon and she almost hit her head on the doorframe. But she was just able to lower her head in the last second. But when she was pushed out the Dwarf closed the door behind her.
“How rude,” she thought. “But I guess I’ll be calling him boss from now on.”
She then walked away from the cabin and towards the back of it she could see a few people sitting around having something to eat. All these people looked very odd. There was a man bending himself backwards, a woman with a beard, another woman with three legs and man with piercings all over his body. There were several other freaks there as well. She felt a little nervous going to them. But they were like her in some ways.
“Err hi,” she said.
But no one took any notice of her. They were still doing what they were doing before. The annoyed Maria a little bit. But eventually frog man saw her and he was amazed.
“Wow,” he said.
This caught the attentions of everyone else and they all looked at Maria. She was more nervous then before and she tried to wave at them as a sign of friendship.
“Hi I’m new here,” said Maria.
“He’s got another sucker,” replied the Frog Man.
“Hey.”
“Let me guess you’re signed the contract with him.”
“Yeah.”
“Did you bother to read it first?”
“Err no.” Everyone then gave out a sigh. “What does that mean?”
“That you’re like us now. Do you know how many days we get off in a single year here?”
“No.”
“Let’s just say I can count it on one hand.”
“It can’t all be that bad right?” Everyone then began to laugh at her. She didn’t like this at all. “Hey what’s so funny?”
“Just you wait my friend. Just you wait.”
A couple of minutes later the Dwarf came back out. This time he had a tape measure and he looked up at Maria.
“Mary,” he said.
“Maria,” replied Maria.
“Whatever. I just need to measure your height. Or better still you can tell me how tall you are.”
“Last time I checked I was 7’1 but I’ve grown since then.”
“And when was that?”
“This afternoon.”
“Yeah right.”
Just then two of the freaks got the tape measure and measured Maria. She was now 7’2 and a half. The Dwarf seemed to be happy with this measurement and he looked up at her again.
“Great Maria every inch counts,” he said. “The taller you are the more people will pay to see you.”
“That’s not very reassuring,” replied Maria.

As the hours rolled by Maria grew an extra 2 inches making her 7’4. But these extra inches hadn’t really been noticed by anyone else. But she could see many people at the freak show. They had all come to see the freaks. But they hadn’t seen her yet. It wasn’t her turn to go onto stage.
Right now the frog man was on the stage. He was bouncing around just like a frog and his tongue was freakishly long. It was a lot longer then a normal tongue but not in proportion a real frog’s tongue. Some of the crowd were disgusted with what they were seeing. But that’s what they were paid to do.
But eventually the Frog man went off the stage and the dwarf came on. He had a microphone in his hand. He cleared his throat before he began to speak through it. But at first there was some static. But it quickly cleared.
“Ladies and Gentlemen introducing freak that signed up today,” said the Dwarf. “She stands at well over 7 feet tall and I must say a very beautiful woman. “I give to you the tall and lovely Mary.”
Maria was annoyed that the Dwarf had miss-pronounced her again. But nonetheless she went onto the stage. People were shocked at the sight of her. If it was a 7’4 man they wouldn’t have been that shocked. But that she was obviously a woman made it even more shocking.
“Look at the size of her,” said a random woman.
“She’s huge,” replied another.
“Yes ladies and gentlemen Mary here…” said the Dwarf.
“Maria,” replied Maria.
“Might well possible be the tallest woman you’ll ever see. And if my sources are right this little lady is still getting taller so if you see her again she might very well be even taller.”
“She’s on stilts!” shouted a random man.
“So you want proof,” replied the Dwarf. He then went over to Maria and stamped on her foot. This caused her some pain and she was jumping on her one leg. This was something that would be very difficult to do on stilts.
“Hey that hurt!” said Maria with anger in her voice.
“But ladies and gentlemen as you can see those aren’t stilts,” replied the Dwarf. “These are genuinely long legs. And after the show you can meet all of my freaks.”
A few minutes later the show finished and the crowd began to meet some of the freaks. The people were surprisingly nice to the freaks. But quite a few of them went to Maria. There was one teenage girl who was a little over 6 feet tall. But compared to Maria she was short.
“I didn’t know I was going to see a woman taller then me,” said the girl. “How did you go through life being this tall?”
“I’m not,” replied Maria. “When I woke up this morning I was only 6’11 and now I’m at least 6 inches taller.”
“You’re kidding right?”
“This time last week I was relatively average height. But now I can’t stop growing.” She then felt her stomach growl. “Dinner time.”
After the crowd left Maria went to have dinner with the other freaks. But when she was given her food it was not enough to fill her up. She went to the chef to try and get some more.
“Can I have some more please?” asked Maria.
“Who do you think you are Oliver Twist?” replied the Chef.
“Hey I’m a large woman and I need more food then the norm.”
“Sorry but there is no more. We can’t afford that much food.”
“Crap.”

But as night slowly drew in Maria began to leave the freak show for now. But the dwarf quickly stopped her. She was annoyed by this and she picked him up and put him to one side.
“Hey where do you think you’re going?” asked the Dwarf.
“Hone,” replied Maria. “I’ve had a long day.”
“You can’t go home.”
“Why not?”
“Because it says in your contract.”
“What?”
The Dwarf then took the contract out of his pocket and he put on his reading glasses. He then cleared his throat.
“According to section seven paragraph twelve,” said the Dwarf. “I must travel with the show at all times and never return home until this contract has run out.”
“What?” repeated Maria. “Give me that.” She then snatched the contract from his hands and she began to read it. She read what the Dwarf had read and unfortunately for her what he said was true.” “But I can’t stay here all the time. I’ve gotta go to see Doctor Hisslop for treatment. Or else I’ll just keep growing.”
“The taller the better. Now get back with the others.”
“Who’s going to stop me?”
“Oh boys!”
Just then two muscle bound men wearing suits stood in front of Maria. They were a lot shorter then she was but they were much stronger. They weren’t going to allow her to go anywhere.
“Mary meet the Butch and Sally,” said the Dwarf.
“Sally?” replied Maria.
“My parents wanted a girl,” answered Sally.
“Oh.”
“Now can you take Mary to her sleeping quarters,” said the Dwarf.
“Let’s get a couple of things straight. You can’t keep me here forever. And my name’s not Mary. IT’S MARIA!”
“Whatever.”
The men then led Maria to where she was going to stay. She did have her own trailer but it was very small. She couldn’t stand up in it and the bed was too small for her. With her ever increasing size it made her feel claustrophobic.
Before she could do anything she heard the lock of the door kick. This meant that she was now locked inside this tiny trailer. It was gloomy and for some time she tried ton improve it to make it feel more at her.
But the constant leaning down was beginning to hurt her back. She had read that people who constantly leaned ended up with curved spines. She didn’t want that to happen to her so she just lay down on her bed. But it was too small for her and feet were over the edge. In fact the bed only went down to her knees. Her feet touched the floor.
“This is just great,” said Maria to herself. “Not only have I gotten the worst job in the world but I’m too big for everything.”
All Maria could do was try and get some sleep and hope that the next morning would be somewhat better for her. She doubted this very much but she could only hope. It was all she had left.
Meanwhile in his lab Doctor Hisslop was going through some tests that he had done with Maria’s blood. What he saw worried him greatly. What the computer was telling him wasn’t good.
“Now this isn’t good,” eh said. “Not at all.”

Doctor Hisslop was still going over all of his results. It wasn’t good for Maria at all. He went to the phone and dialled her number. He waited for her to pick up and then he heard her voice.
“Hi this is Maria I’m sorry but I’m out right now,” said the answering machine. “But if you leave a message at the end of the tone I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Bye.” The was then a beeping noise.
“Maria you’re in more trouble then I first thought,” replied Doctor Hisslop. “Your body is going to experience an explosion of growth every so often. Be sure when this happens you’re not in any buildings. Call me immediately.”
He then put the phone down and continued to do his tests. He had no idea the misery that Maria was going through. She felt like a prisoner in a shrinking cell. But for now there wasn’t much she could do about it.
But when she woke up the next morning she had grown even taller. She was now very close to being 8 feet tall. The last of her clothes had ripped off and she was stark naked. She had to get a bed sheet and wrap it around her body to make a toga. She looked like a Greek Goddess. But unfortunately she had no footwear and she was going to be forced to walk around in bare feet.
When she went to open the door she discovered that it was open and she just opened the door and walked out. She could finally stand up straight. It was a warm morning and she could feel the sun on her. It was a pretty nice feeling. But then she felt her stomach growling.
“Guess I’m hungry,” she said to herself.
She went over to where all the other freaks were eating their breakfast. She could only get a small plateful of food before sitting down on a chair. But while she was eating it she heard a cracking sound. She stopped to try and listen to it. But the cracking seemed to stop. She carried on eating and she heard the cracking again so she stopped. After a minute without hearing anything she continued eating.
But then the chair gave way under her weight and she fell to the ground. This caused her some pain and the last of her breakfast went all over her. One of the freaks went up to her to see if she was fine.
“Are you alright?” he asked.
“Yeah I’m fine,” replied Maria.
He then helped her get back onto her feet. But she was still very heavy and he struggled to do this. But within seconds she was back onto her feet. She smiled down at him and gave him a little hug.
“Thanks,” she said.
“M-my pleasure,” replied the Man. “But we still need to get ready. We’ve got a show in fifteen minutes.”
“Oh right.”
Maria didn’t want to perform again. But she needed the money. She couldn’t live forever in these bed sheets. She needed real clothes that fit her. She wanted to wear the latest fashions again. But there was no company in the world that made clothes for her size.
But Maria was feeling light headed and she sometimes felt a little dizzy. But they kept coming and going and when it was time for the show Maria felt alright. She did want to escape but with Butch and Sally watch her every move she dared not attempt it. She wanted to try when she was large enough to fend them off.
“Ladies and Gentlemen the World’s Tallest Woman,” said the dwarf to the small crowd in front of him.
Maria then walked onto the stage and everybody awed at her. But her dizziness soon returned and she felt really bad.

But as Maria continued to show off her extremely tall body to the crowd her dizziness continued. She was also beginning to feel very warm although it wasn’t a particularly sunny day.
She went to leave the stage but Butch and Sally got into her way. The Dwarf was there as well and he didn’t want her going anywhere.
“Get back on that stage,” said the Dwarf.
“I don’t feel too well,” replied Maria.
“I don’t care. Get on there before you live to regret it.”
She then slowly went back onto the stage. But then she felt pain all around her body. She screamed out in pain and held onto her sides. She dropped to her knees and continued to scream.
The crowd didn’t know what was happening. They didn’t know whether she was really in pain or some kind of act. The Dwarf was feeling worried. If anything happened to her he would be in trouble.
But then Maria began to feel her toga getting tight. Everyone around her could see what was happening. She was growing right before their eyes. People didn’t know how to react to it. But as she grew slowly people began to panic.
The Dwarf was also nervous. He didn’t know what to do. He just turned around and looked at Butch and Sally.
“Go out there and do something,” said the Dwarf.
“Do what exactly?” replied Sally.
“I don’t know anything.”
The two men then shrugged their shoulders and went onto the stage. By now Maria had grown to 10 feet tall while crouching. She was still screaming out in pain. This was probably what was making everyone else feel so uneasy.
Then without warning her toga burst off her. Thankfully for her the way her body was positioned no one could see any of her private parts. But this only seemed to make her grow faster.
By now the crowed were in complete panic and they ran away from the stage. The Dwarf just ran back to his trailer and began to get all the money from the safe. He was packing it into a suitcase and he was getting ready to leave.
But Maria got so heavy that she went through the stage. She took a fall of about 3 feet but this was nothing to her. But when she hit the ground she stopped growing. The pain had gone.
She then stood up to her full height and she saw just how small everything around her was. She had grown to 40 feet tall. All Butch and Sally could do was look at her. They also marvelled over her private parts. Maria quickly noticed this and she tried to cover them up with her hands and arms.
“You perverts!” she shouted.
By now Butch and Sally were making a hasty retreat. Maria just walked off the stage and she went to where the food was prepared. She remembered that being in a tent. She grabbed the tent cover and she wrapped it around her body.
Unfortunately for the Dwarf he had the miss fortune of coming out of his trailer at the wrong time. Maria noticed him and she quickly grabbed him and brought him up to her level.
“YOU!” she shouted.
“Now Mary business is business,” replied the Dwarf.
“Keeping people here against their will is not business,” replied Maria. “It’s wrong. And for the last time MY NAME IS MARIA!” She then looked down and saw the other freaks looking up at her. “This is all your tormentor is a little coward. You’re free to go where ever you choose.”

“B-but we don’t want to leave,” said the Frog Man.
“What?” replied Maria.
“We’re not accepted anywhere else. This is the only place where we fit in.”
“But you have a chance to leave all of this behind and go do something you actually want to do.”
“But we want to be here.”
Maria was confused with their answer for a moment. But then she began to understand. She’d only been growing out of control for the past couple of days. These people had been freaks all of their lives. They had been doing this for years and they didn’t know how to do anything else. She just smiled at them and she sat down. She thought that if she was lower she wouldn’t seem so scary.
“If that’s what you guys want that’s fine,” said Maria. She then placed the Dwarf right next to the other freaks. “Just do me one more favour treat him with as much respect and dignity that he treated you and me.”
Maria then stood up and walked away. All the freaks turned to the Dwarf. He was terrified with what was going to happen. But he tried to laugh and show that they were all friends.
“Come on guys,” said the Dwarf. “You know I was only kidding.”
“Get him!” shouted a freak.
The freaks then surrounded him and began to attack him. For the dwarf he was up shit creak without a paddle.
Meanwhile Maria was walking through downtown L.A. This caused everyone to panic and they ran away from her. But she was only hungry and trying to find something to eat. She saw a grocery van parked at the side of the road. The driver saw her and fled leaving the van where it was.
Without giving it a second thought she began to grab the fruits and vegetables out of the van and she began to eat them. She did this fir several minutes before feeling a slight pain in her back. She turned around and saw several police officers with their guns pointed at her. She recognised one of them as the officer who had pulled her over a couple of days earlier.
“Ma’am back away from the van,” said one Officer.
“Can’t you people leave me in peace?” replied Maria. “I’m going through a crisis here and all you cops want to do is shoot me.”
“I won’t repeat myself back away now.”
“At least just let me finish eating.”
She went to go back to her food. But then one of the cops shot her in the eye. Normally it wouldn’t hurt her that much but since it was in her eye this caused her great pain. She began to stagger. The cops had to get out of the way.
“You shot me in my eye you bastards!” shouted Maria.
She continued to stagger in pain. But she didn’t notice some power cables in front of her. She couldn’t see where she was going and she tripped over them landing hard on the ground.
The impact knocked her unconscious and she just lay there she had cut her head. A couple of the cops came towards her and looked at her.
“What are we going to do with her?” asked one cop.
“Let’s leave that to the army,” replied another cop.

Maria’s eyes began to flicker open. She could see clearly through her right eye but her left eye was still blurry. She had a small headache and she went to sit up. But she realised that she couldn’t. Her arms and legs seemed to be chained down. She looked around and saw that she was in an unfamiliar place. All she could see really were lights blinding her. Other then that there wasn’t much.
“She’s awake,” said a voice.
“Sush she’ll hear you,” replied another voice.
“Who said that?” asked Maria. “There was no answer. “I know someone’s there. Please answer me.”
“You’re nowhere.”
“I have to be somewhere. I can’t be nowhere.”
“That’s true.”
She then turned her head but she still couldn’t see anyone. She tried again to break out of the chains but they were too strong. But then she saw someone come out of a shadow. She could tell that he looked like some sort of scientist.
“I must say ma’am you’re quite a remarkable woman,” he said. “You took a bullet to the eye no less then 2 hours ago and it’s almost healed up.”
“W-who are you?” replied Maria.
“No one important.”
“You’re important enough to me.”
“That’s a nice thing to say.”
“Because you’re holding me captive. Isn’t there laws against things like this?”
“Well unfortunately you’ve been deemed as a threat to society.”
“I’m no threat. I wouldn’t intentionally hurt anyone.”
“Well after your antics in downtown LA we beg to differ. And there’s no point in trying to break out of those chains. They’re made of pure titanium. Not ebven you can break out of them.”
“But I can’t stay here. I have to see Doctor Hisslop. He’s the only one who can cure my condition.”
“Now we’ve already begun work on that. We’ve noticed that you’ve grown slightly since we brought you here. Now I must ask you do you have any history of mental health problems?”
“What?”
“Just answer the question please.”
“No.”
“Good.now you might just feel a small prick.”
Just then out of the shadows right on the other side a few people came out with what seemed to be a giant syringe. They put it into Maria’s arm and took a blood sample. This caused her some pain and they quickly retreated from her.
“Hey that hurt!” she said.
“We apologise but we’re only trying to help you,” replied the man.
“If you want to help me then let me go.”
