Two Rings
A poem for the love of my life in celebration of two years together.

Two voices echoing in the night,
Speaking soft, loving words,
Each calling the other’s name,
Yearning to be heard.

Two flames shining like bright
Beacons at the end of each day,
Illuminating the surrounding dark
To help the voices find their way.

Two lives caught in the chaos
Of the never-ending earth,
Living separately though forever striving
To enjoy one another’s mirth.

Two rings of shining silver
Etched with words of love.
Symbols of the connection wrought
From angels up above.

Two hearts echoing in the night,
Throbbing and beating as one,
Each calling out to the other
As the sky gleams from the rising sun.
