Insurmountable Regrets
A blazing regret haunted me for years Like a river of guilt pushed me to tears Relinquished with solace, I'm left me behind Trapped in a pit, helpless and darkened mind A thorny path unfolded, lost its veers. Who could help me from this torment and fear? Stunned my hopes and my dreams, nothing to cheer! Regrets waxed my inner feelings, where’s divine? A blazing regret… Crumbling inside, struggling for better sphere Words poisoned me, killed my nerves was it fair? Rage emotions embraced my soul entwined Poignant countenance, why you’re so unkind? Winds of failure encompassed my primer A blazing regret… A/N: Poetic pattern - Rondeau Syllabic count - 10 per line except for the (R) - refrain Rhyming scheme - (R-is a refrain) aabba aab(R) aabba(R)
