Hallucinations of the Heart
![]() From birth we've been suckled on a big tit of lies. "Forever" and "always," "pure love from the heart," without any mention of true love's demise. We've been set up for failure before we start. Yes, love delivers all the things we've heard, binding two people much closer, no doubt. But when it ends – as has often occurred both feel the pain of stitches ripped out! It doesn't take long for life to teach and, like Pavlov's dogs, we start to avoid attempting to extend beyond our reach to try and recapture those feelings enjoyed. Pure love is perfection which few attain. Most settle for less, amidst all the glitz. As for myself, I'll avoid all the pain. Can't we just be friends... ...with benefits? Notes Sometimes you just write for the fun of it A random entry for "Invalid Item" Thank you for taking time to read my words. I would appreciate it if you took a moment and left a comment. Your reaction, impressions, criticisms, - yes, even praise Ken
