NO WINDOW I SEE

The light filters down

Florescent and glum

No windows I see

To show me the sun

Surrounded by cubes

Walls on three sides

A phone and computer

A place to hide

A beep in my ear

It’s time to begin

No windows I see

It must be a sin

I take your calls

I book your trips

I answer your questions

I give you tips

No windows I see

From my three-sided cube

Just a computer and phone

To speak with you

The phones are sporadic

The computers hum

Is it time to leave?

Please show me the sun.
