Her Shadows

I have been on here for quite a while and I can't tell you how much I love writing.com! It is like a second home to me, though at times, my visits are few and far between, I do try my best to be an active member. Sometimes, life just doesn't give me a chance to get my fingers on that keyboard, as many of you probably have experienced the same at one point or another. Recently, I have noticed that there is nothing in my port showing who I am, so I decided to create this item so that you can get a chance to know who Darkskye is! I hope you enjoy.

About Me:

I am an eighteen-year-old girl, still young at heart. If I could stay this age, I would. No wait! I'll change that age to nineteen actually. Not a minute further though. I am going into my second year of college for computer programming, though I am so scared that it might turn out to be not what I want to do for the rest of my life. There are plenty of things that I would love to do and picking just one ... doesn't seem right. So, maybe after I finish this, I'll work in it for a couple of years and go back and do something else. A couple writing courses would make me ecstatic! Psychology and philosophy are two others that I would drool over.

I am short, skinny, brown hair, hazel eyes, and most often seen with glasses. My personality ... hmm. This could be tricky. Very quiet. Quite shy. Independent. I have a tendency to enjoy being alone or with one other person, rather than a crowd of people. Kind ... I think. Hehe. I do judge a person quickly, often too quickly, but I tend to keep that judgment to myself. That judgment is not always bad though, nor is it usually wrong. I enjoy the simple things in life. I love the quiet! And of course, the darkness as well!

I love my sisters with all my heart. One of them, many of you probably already know. The great and dark mistaiNletoe . She is a little bundle of everything that goes bump in the night! If you get a minute, check out her port. She is a great poet of the dark and always my inspiration!

I love horror. Anything that is dark for that matter, as you will notice if you look through my port. The more disturbing and the more it keeps me up in the night full of fright, the better. Hehe. As well, though I can't seem to write it, I do have a place in my heart for the fantasy genre.

I love Stephen King. My favorite all time author! My favorite series is The Dark Tower as some will see from the many quotes that I use. Other authors and books/series that I love include:

- Dean Koontz
- Robert Jordan: The Wheel of Time
- Margaret Weis and Tracey Hickman - The DragonLance series
- R.A Salvatore - The Legends of Drizzt
- The Twilight series. Though normally, not a romance reader.
- J.K Rowling: The Harry Potter series, of course!

I love animals. Yes, even in my dark nature, I still love to snuggle with my kitties.

I love video games. The Final Fantasy series above all and Diablo II.

My favorites foods include Garlic fingers, dill pickle popcorn, and extra cheesy pizza.

I hate the cold with a passion. I could sit in 40 degrees Celsius heat and be perfectly content.

My writing is my passion, as is reading and music.
