My eyes have seen the birth of a newborn infant greeting the world anew.
My eyes have seen the death of someone that I loved and knew.
My eyes have seen sunshine breathe its life into a dull grey dawn.
My eyes have seen the moonbeams dance until the arc of night has gone.
My eyes have seen love in the faces of ones that I hold dear.
My eyes have seen despair on the brows of survivors flow like tears.
My eyes have seen places across this beautiful wondrous land.
My eyes have rested at night after days of toil and harsh demand.
My eyes have closed in prayer to my God on high.
My eyes will close forever on this world when I die.
