Peals of laughter of grandchildren
Ringing in my ear Bring a smile to my old face And now and then a tear. Blushing brides dressed in white dresses White bouquets held close. And nervous grooms awaiting The one they love the most. The first soft kiss of your soul mate Whispering of love And touches soft and tender That you would not tire of. A winter’s night in December Days spent at the shore The phone call of a dear friend It’s all of this and more. Memories forever cherished Remembered small delights Joy spread like summer clover Fills now my days and nights. Things I always will remember Of life lived with flair. Bring me such great contentment With no regret to bear. Joy eternally resplendent. Joy never shall depart. Magnificent and dazzling Joy forever in my heart.
