Apocrypha
We've turned our backs on the secrets of universe... but they await our return.

Apocrypha

Beneath a blue-green liquid sky, in a world of solitude,
akasha runes written in the sands are seldom viewed.
Knowledge of the universe inscribed in dancing light
lie tantalizingly close by but are kept from our sight.

Revealed in meaning only to the creatures of the deep,
stories of creation and tales to make one weep.
Not for human understanding, we turned away eons before
denying our primeval roots as we crawled upon the shore.

In the silence of the evening, we hear her ancient song.
Long forgotten memories remind us where we belong.
Forgotten wisdom left behind in our need to roam.
Patiently, it lies there awaiting our return to home.

Prompt: The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.~Jacques Cousteau

apocrypha: secret, hidden, of unknown orgin
akasha: ethereal

The ocean was the womb of all life and the record of all time is imbued in its atoms... As of 2008, less than 10% of all oceans have been explored. What secrets still lie undiscovered?

Thank you for taking time to read my words. I would appreciate it if you took a moment and left a comment. Your reaction, impressions, criticisms, - yes, even praise *Smile* - are all equally welcome.
