His Legacy
A more recent poem I had written in the dead of night while procrastinating.

Well, the old man is finally dead now,
the vultures bared his once baroque form.
Their grieving filled with silent laughter.
Toasts made to his fortune’s memory
filled the night sky. Inevitably,
his legacy dwindled away.
