Reflection Mirror, mirror. On the wall. I look inside and see, None of the things I appall. The man I’ll never be. Reflections of duality. I wonder if he dreams, Of the reflection, that I flee, Not knowing my soul screams. Trying, bursting at the seams, Of both of our realties To become the other’s dreams. Exchange identities. Forget formal amenities. Content with swapping sides. Coveting what each one sees, Not knowing that they’re lies. If only we could realize, Why this is so insane. The mirror’s image I despise, Is where I keep my pain. The man I see inside the pane, Is only an illusion. That’s why--image--has been contained, Inside imagination.
