This I Believe

This I believe: In the right to free speech,
It's not that distant; it's well within reach

This I believe: In the ability of man,
And his commitment towards a global plan

This I believe: That they may become well,
Those conflicted with an internal hell

This I believe: Those hungry shall eat,
And needless starvation shall instead taste defeat

This I believe: That all may learn,
And receive an equal opportunity to earn

This I believe: We shall cease to fight,
And have our sons & daughters on our own soil at night

This I believe: That the commission of crime,
Shall be rendered obsolete in a very short time

This I believe: We shall broaden our vision,
And acknowledge everyone's right to religion

This I believe: Or make this I know:
If we were all to believe, it would most assuredly be so!
