Couplet #1: must be about October woods. [Glorious shades of autumn filled my sight
As I walked October woods at first light.]

Couplet #2: must be about ink.                  [Beautiful artistry in pen and ink
Landscapes before me that did interlink.]

Couplet #3: must be about a gift.              [Wonderful gifts painted by nature’s hand
Were glistening like diamonds, each one more grand.]

Couplet #4: must be about hearts.            [Yellow and gold splashes of abstract art
With dashes of orange, spoke to my heart.]

Couplet #5: must be about flowers.          [Zinnias and asters grew by the trail,
While a mum or lily bloomed in the vale.]

Glorious shades of autumn filled my sight
As I walked October woods at first light.

Beautiful artistry in pen and ink
Landscapes before me that did interlink.

Wonderful gifts painted by nature’s hand
Were glistening like diamonds, each one more grand.

Yellow and gold splashes of abstract art
With dashes of orange, spoke to my heart.

Zinnias and asters grew by the trail,
While a mum or lily bloomed in the vale.

Canada geese honked their loud native song,
Saying “Goodby.”  Winter would not be long.

Bold canvases painted with autumn hues
Surrounded me with all possible views.

Art gallery showings could not compare
To the beautiful tapestries l saw there.

As I walked October woods at first light
Glorious shades of autumn filled my sight.
