I'll say goodbye,
But not for long, Because I'll someday follow. The path you've made I'll walk upon Some not too soon tomorrow. Goodbyes and tears Will pass away When we reach Heaven's shore. Old friends we'll meet and Loved ones, too. We'll live forevermore. There'll be no darkness There on high. For Jesus is the Son. His light will shine For all to see, When work on Earth is done. No more will teardrops Stain your face, Nor pain and sorrow come. There'll be no sadness In that place That you will now call home. So, sadly now I'll bid farewell, And, selfishly I'll cry. For from this world You are now gone, And, I must say, "Goodbye." 25 lines
