I have a friend who encourages me
To do the best I can.
In trying times, my friend is there
To gently hold my hand.

And if I stumble on my way
Kind words my friend will speak.
He's always waiting for my call
When His guidance I will seek.

He listens when I need to talk.
He comforts when I'm scared.
And although sometimes I've gone astray,
I always know He cares.

For, my friend's name is Jesus Christ,
And, he'll be your friend, too.
If you would just invite Him in--
I'll tell you what to do.

Ask Him to come into your heart.
Believe He is God's Son.
Confess to God that you have sinned.
And, as simple as that it's done!
