Celebrating the Freedom

Flame of freedom.
Bright flame. Red flame. Hot flame.
A light for the tired and in each heart,
A celebration can be felt.

Flame of freedom.
Embrace the heat. End the bondage of men.
Bring her light home to let the grand gift
Heal in time, their anger, their fear and their grief.

Flame of freedom.
For that light that can calm the mind.
That light can incite great action.
That light can embrace the earth.

Dedicated to the Statue of Liberty which will reopen July 4th , 2009. May her ‘Flame of Freedom’ always shine bright!

Jumacu Mix poem #2 Please see Earth Day Poem #1552386 for an explanation.
