A poem I wrote, the topic of which still eludes me; but I like the word structure.

I wish I'd know what was going on but
I wasn't sure (I'm still not sure) and
The world was beating too fast for me to keep up

I wanted to hold you in my cupped hands and
Breath warmth into you but
I was afraid you'd melt like a snowflake
(Delicate, crystalline, you know you were)

When I left I cried and
Hoped you would too but
You didn't (so I figured you didn't know how)

Death was afraid of you but
Not vice versa and
I've always hoped you laughed till the end but
Maybe that would have been hypocritical?
