A STAR TO GUIDE ME

There has always been a star to guide me
in the twilight hours when stars first appear.
Somehow I know He is close beside me,
keeping away all thought of doubt and fear.

Midnight sky with millions of bright stars
but none so bright as the one that shines
above me, ever so intense in its power
or in the unspoken message it defines.

It is in the tender glow I feel His mercy
and His hand that reaches out to me.
I am safe within His light and in His love,
Morning star still shines, my spirit free.

I am learning trust and faith that follows
in the light of the star that shines above.
I am blessed and feel the quiet comfort
of my Savior's hand extending His love.

There has always been a star to guide me
in the twilight hours when stars first appear.
Somehow I know He is close beside me,
keeping away all thought of doubt and fear.
