To The One I Love

Shadowy wisps were I, drifting along gray shrouds, until you became the light to my dark clouds
Warming my soul, from my feelings I couldn't run, like an opening bud before the majestic sun
Her sight sends emotional waves crashing upon my heart, she imparts her feelings and kisses me goodnight
Above all I place that beautiful dove, so I'll give all I am to the one I love

Moonlight seeping through livid wisps, shining down onto porcelain skin more precious than golden pools
My angel meets me in the night, our passion like a fire setting the cool air ablaze
Midnight's ringing falls upon deaf ears, worthless to we, whilst at each other we gaze
Time melts away, the world holding its breath, while I stare into eyes shining brighter than heavenly jewels

Holding her in my eyes, love washes over me, in my stomach butterflies are blazing
Her melodious voice draws me closer, a serenade in the night, while seraphs envy above
She rescued me from the dark maze of myself, so her I am always praising
I'm her sword and shield, protecting heart and health, pledging my life to the one I love

Surviving darker times, the sunrise appears before us, my love's hair reminiscent of those shimmering rays
Forevermore I wish to be beside my angel, with but a touch she puts me in a craze
Our lips mingle, hearts pattering, wishing to stay in each others' arms for all days
She makes my heart blaze, while I'm in this loving daze, even in my dreams she stays

I tell her she's stellar, that she holds my heart, hoping we'll never be apart
Even if the powers that be deny, before she'll cry, back to her I'll dart
She calms my fears as I wipe away her tears, bringing peace like a celestial dove
She is my everything, whether day or night, passion I give to the one I love
