                                                                                                Calm Night

                                                                                              Waves sing along
to the dancing of the moon
                                                                                              At one together

                                                                                      In the warm Summers night
play jazz for the gazing stars

                                                                                                                                        spb.

Note: Tanka is an older form of Japanese poetry than haiku. It is usually written in 5 lines containing syllables of 5-7-5-7-7 or less with intent to evoke a moment.
