         Well, I still don’t get the colon-semi colon thing, but luckily I can just use ‘en’ and ‘em’ dashes instead.  (I think.)  And I have found myself at least wondering  ‘Is that colon used correctly?’  (I don’t know without going back to the lesson and rereading it AGAIN!)  But at least I’m wondering—and I guess that’s a start.
