Write a funny poem
With less than 25 lines. Hmmm, I said to myself Can I do this within the confines? I really am not a comic. Humor escapes me, I know. But was I up to the challenge? Could I do this and make it flow? So I began to ponder But, no funny verses appeared. Comedy isn’t my forte. My mind’s drawn a blank, I feared. So, I guess I’ll not enter this contest For the prompt isn’t right for me; For wittiness’s sake I am helpless. I’ve no jester’s soul, you see. I suppose I will continue To look for my funny side; ‘Cause it’s surely missing in action And that cannot be denied!
