"Are we there yet?" becomes their mantra
The moment we get in the car And continues until we get there No matter how near or how far. This is supposed to be relaxing For two weeks out of the year. But if this is the way it starts out There'll be no relaxing, I fear! They really are driving me crazy, Though I’ve planned this trip for a while. I’ve already lost all my patience. I’ve only been driving a mile! Next year when it’s time for vacation I have now decided, you see That when I depart for my retreat There's going to be only ME!
