Written for Bite Size Poetry Contest
Prompt: Pain or sorrow The pain within None knows of it but me. The pretence, the deceit, the practiced Iago-like smile, the hurt, the pain cutting through. Where are the limits of this torturous hell? My spirit slowly surrenders to the ever-present ache. The noise, the cacophony, the devilish laughter, the animal ways, cause a din in my soul that no one can clear. This imposition, not of my doing. Yet I suffer, I cry within endlessly. All I do for there’s nothing else besides wait for the light at the end of the tunnel. 16 lines a Simply Positive Winning Reviewee!
